Germany just declared war on serbia. My nation Russia is alliances with Serbia so we joined them with this war. We have been walking for it seems like days yet its only been hours. My feet are swollon and my muscles ache from carrying all this heavy supply. The war hasn't even started and i'm already ready for it to end. Our nation is much larger than germany and Austria-Hungary, but we are not as industrialized as they are. The thought of war makes me tremble but I am ready to put up a fight.

It's been a longs war. Many of our men have died and many battles have been lost. The war has not been going how I excpected it to go. It's been about too years into the war and it feels like its been a lifetime. I miss my wife and my 4 children, they're my world and i haven't seen them in 2 years. I dream about home almost every night and how wonderful it was there. With all the men dying im scared I could be next, I am not ready to go yet.

It's been about a month since i've wrote in this. My best friend Felix died about a week ago. I have never discoverd this much pain even getting shot in the arm and the brutal cold. Emotional pain is worse than Physical pain. I will miss him it's like I lost a part of me. I am very lucky to be alive and i will continue to pray for my life.

Yesterday was christmas and many of my fellow soldiers didn't spend it in the best way. We were still fighting Germany and losing. My soldiers and I all miss our family and home so much christmas isn't even the same without them.

Russia lost the war to Germany. But i just arrived home and have never been more happy to see my wife and kids. things haven't really changed much since i left for war. I am upset we lost victory to Germany but im more happy here at home with my family. Russia is also becoming more industrialized.
